The impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on domestic abuse against Turkish immigrant women in Germany

Objectives: This study aimed to investigate the relationship between psychological violence, maltreatment and depression, anxiety among Turkish immigrant women living in Germany during COVID-19 pandemic. Methods: The Profile of Psychological Abuse Women, Maltreatment Women Inventory, Generalized Anxiety Disorder-7 (GAD-7) Scale, Patient Health Questionnaire-9 (PHQ-9) were delivered participants. Results: Our results showed that participants who had been exposed abuse domestic violence reported have higher depression scores. Furthermore, with low income married spouses no formal education or only primary school graduates anxiety, abuse, scores outbreak. Conclusions: findings demonstrated experienced by their partners pandemic anxiety.
